President Uhuru Kenyatta has said he will respect the will of Kenyans in the August 8 general election.
Uhuru said on Sunday that he will hand over power to whoever wins the presidential vote.
He was responding to a question on whether or not he would hold on to power like Yahya Jammeh of Gambia.
He was speaking at the Sagana State Lodge in Nyeri County during a press address.
The President has been conducting mass voter registration campaign in Meru, Isiolo and Murang’a for the past three days.
He hailed The National Registration Bureau for expediting the process of issuing National Identity cards to Kenyans ahead of the general election.
Electoral body IEBC is targeting 6 million new voters during the exercise which will come to a close of February 14, 2017.
