Subow, who won the Garissa Women rep seat on Jubilee ticket says that she will be the voice for voiceless.

Speaking to journalists after meeting with women leaders on Wednesday in Garissa Town, Subow said that she will fearless represent and champion the interests of locals.

She promised to advance and push for women rights through implementation of the two thirds gender rule.

“My work is well planned and I want to assure Garissa people especially women and youth of my commitment to service delivery,” she said as quoted by the Standard.

Subow promised to utilize the Social Affirmative Action Fund for the benefit of residents. She asked women to apply for the money under the social affirmative fund.

Subow said that she will make sure that women are empowered social-economically. She also pledged to push for inclusion of all groups in the county government administration.

The Jubilee women rep elect trounced incumbent Shukran Gure and five other candidates to clinch the seat in the hotly contested race in the recently concluded general election.
