Instead, Raila said on that day while a section of people will be celebrating, the rest of the country will be mourning the Kenyans who were killed by police during his homecoming and after the Supreme court ruling on presidential petitions case. "On Tuesday the 28, while some people will be celebrating, the rest of Kenya nation will be mourning. On that day we will hold a memorial service in honour of these dead at Jacaranda grounds. It is not a public rally, it is a mourning. We are going to be mourning our dead who have been killed by very uncaring regime," said Raila. Speaking on Friday at the Laico Regency hotel in Nairobi during the fund raising of the victims, the former prime minister added that the people who were killed, their lives will not go in vain.
