Odinga, who has run thrice unsuccessfully for presidency, has previously accused electoral body of shortchanging him in the last two General elections.

However, on Wednesday Odinga urged his supporters to vote him in August, guard votes in the polling centres and leave the rest to him.

“I understand that you have been voting for me all this time before some people in Nairobi do the usual rigging. I want you to just vote and guard our votes in August,” he said.

“I will never complain again of rigged victory because they will not have a room to shortchange me. Just leave the other issues for me to deal with and that is an assurance,” he told a huge gathering in Kisumu.

Odinga is expected to wrestle with President Uhuru Kenyatta in August’s General elections even though he is yet to be formally endorsed with other opposition leaders.
