The former Fafi MP has vowed to send Haji packing in the August polls, accusing him of failing to deliver on his mandate for the time he has been in power.

Speaking to supporters at Garissa Town on Sunday, the former MP claimed that he has what it takes to send Haji home in the forthcoming polls.

“Senator Haji has been silent in the senate and it’s time for him to go home,” he told supporters as quoted by the Star.

He claimed that the Garissa county government cannot account for public funds allocated to it, adding that it is the work of the senator to ensure that the county accounts to all resources given to it by the national government.

He further promised to push for laws that will benefit the Garissa people if elected as senator, adding that he will champion for the rights of women, youths and persons living with disabilities who he said have been neglected in the county.

At the same time, Sugow cautioned locals against being divided by selfish politicians who are seeking for votes.

The aspirant urged locals to remain peaceful ahead of the August general election, and ensure they are registered during the ongoing voter registration exercise.
