Kisii senator Chris Obure says he is determined to send Governor James Ongwae home in August insisting that the Ongwae has been a total letdown to area residents.
Obure says that the county boss has failed to launch tangible projects despite the national government disbursing billions of shillings for development.
Obure, who is set to challenge Ongwae on a Jubilee ticket, urged Gianchere residents to back his bid, adding that he has a clean development record.
"Ongwae has been a total let down to all of us who supported him in 2013. We thought that he would translate his public service skills to better management but nothing happened," he said.
"He has been receiving billions from national treasury but has never launched a single mega project for our people. It is time you give me a chance to put things in order," he said.
However, Obure has a tough task of defeating deputy governor Joash Maangi in Jubilee primaries, before facing a much organized Ongwae in August elections.
