The Nairobi County government has launched a campaign to demolish illegal structures.

The Inspectorate Department launched the exercise of Tuesday along Argwings Kodhek road.

Led by Inspector Peter Mbaya, the team demolished illegal car washes, shops and kiosks.

“The illegal structures had encroached on roads and blocked alleys,” said Mbaya as quoted by Capital fm.

Mbaya warned that stern action will be taken against business operators conducting operations in undesignated areas.

He affirmed that the operation will go on until all the illegal structures are cleared.
