Nyamira County Commissioner Isaiah Nakoru has raised alarm over some illicit brew makers and sellers making a comeback.
Nakoru on Wednesday said as long as he is serving in the county, no one will be allowed to do dubious businesses.
"We have fought illicit brews in Nyamira but it is worrying that some people are secretly doing that business in deep villages in Nyamira.
"I therefore, direct security officers not to sleep on their job to ensure making and selling of illicit brews end in the region,” he said.
He warned parents against engaging in outlawed businesses in the name of looking for school fees to pay for their children.
In 2015, President Uhuru Kenyatta ordered crackdown on illicit brewers, a move that saw thousands of people quitting the business.
