Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has expressed certainty of his re-election downplaying the recent grouping of other aspirants in the county.

Kabogo who spoke in Mataara village within Gatundu North said the other aspirants had no vision and agendas to transform Kiambu calling on them to first set their goals and decide their flag bearer.

"I'm not worried of the merger; the people of Kiambu are clever and have seen my leadership abilities. I'm certain of my re-election in a landslide victory," said Kabogo.

The merger between Ferdinand Waititu, Aquiline Njoki, James Nyoro, Francis Mugwe and Davidi Kariuki Ngari meant to oust Kabogo was announced during a prayer rally at Thika in early February.

Waititu who spoke on a national television pronounced himself the flag bearer only for the other spirants to dismiss the decision later.

Kabogo likened the merger to the National Super Alliance (NASA) which he said had no goals for Kenya calling on the hopefuls to fast-track opportunities elsewhere.
