President Uhuru Kenyatta's cousin Kathleen Kihanya has come out to refute claims by ODM leader Raila Odinga that her company swindled Sh200, 000 from the health ministry.
While addressing journalists at Jacaranda Hotel in Nairobi on Saturday, Kihanya said politics was being used to try and implicate her in the Sh5 billion scandal.
According to Kihanya, her company Sundales International won a tender to supply various emergency nutrition commodities on November 2015 and paid on June 2016.
"This matter is being politicized. I rubbish claims by ODM leader Raila Odinga because the tender I won was legitimate. I call for speedy investigations into the matter and get to the bottom of it. Entrepreneurship in the country has evolved and politics should not be used as a lever to determine who gets what," said Kihanya.
She further called on Odinga to stop making baseless claims without evidence.
