Musyoka has rubbished claims that he is planning to detach from the opposition and join the rulling Jubilee Coalition.

“I am in NASA to stay, and no attempt in reducing, speculation by anybody from any quarters will derail us from staying in NASA and going for the highest seat, and that the office of the president being the flag bearer of NASA,” he said.

“It is within my democratic right to make it absolutely clear that I’m going for the presidency of the republic of Kenya on another ticket, if that statement means I’m defecting to Jubilee, or running alone, so be it,” he added.

Musyoka has been accused by some quarters of working with Jubilee government, and others questioning his loyalty to NASA alliance.

He has also maintained that it is his turn to vie for the top seat in the next polls, calling on other co-principals in the Cord coalition to clear the way for him.
