Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has said he is a changed man after leaving behind his 'ways' as a student.
The legislator has in the past earned himself a name as a confrontational and outspoken leader who rides into controversies.
He is on record for trying to force President Barrack Obama to pay a visit to the University of Nairobi during his tenure as president of SONU.
“So far, 18 UoN students have threatened to commit suicide if President Obama doesn’t visit UoN," he said at the time.
Owino also caused a storm in parliament just weeks after being sworn in after he engaged in a fist fight with Starehe MP Charles Jaguar.
But he now says he has reformed to be the man his constituents expect him to be.
While speaking to the Standard, he said he had made the New Year resolution not to be a drama person.
“It is a new year and I have decided to make some changes in my life. To some people I have always been the leader who reacts the most in different situations, some might even call me a drama queen,” he said as quoted by Nairobi News.
