Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko has once again said he is not in any way involved in drugs.
The flamboyant businessman cum politician has been linked with drugs in the past, claims that he has always denied.
Speaking in Mombasa on Sunday during a voter registration drive, Sonko stated that he is even ready to travel to the United States if need be to face prosecution if found guilty.
He further noted that his passport was ready and can be investigated anytime including from the FBI.
“My passport is ready. I last went to America with President Uhuru Kenyatta and I am ready to go back there. The FBI will decide who is involved in the peddling of illegal drugs and who is not,” he said.
He strongly denied claims of any involvement in the drug business in the country, further suggesting that anyone mentioned in drug business should head to the US for investigation.
Deputy president William Ruto, who was present during the rally, insisted that his Jubilee administration would not tolerate drug barons, and will do all they can to ensure they fully handle the issue.
This comes in the back of the extradition of four Kenyans, including two sons of the late Akasha, who were taken to the US to face charged of drug trafficking.
