Kiambu governor William Kabogo Gitau has denied Mwau being his father-in-law. Many believe that Kabogo’s wealth is linked to his relationship with John Harun Mwau but the governor has dismissed the reports as false media creations and cheap politics.

Speaking during the Jeff Koinange Live (JKL) show, Kabogo said his drug dealer tag was started by his political enemies who wondered how he could campaign in a chopper at a tender age.

William Kabogo said his flamboyant entry into politics surprised many who used the opportunity to tarnish his name by saying he has married Mwau’s daughter and might be among the allegedly State protected drug cartel. He said he was among the first politicians to campaign flying a chopper in the early 2000s.

The former Juja member of parliament even said Mwau does not have a daughter. The outspoken governor said that he has done a lot for Kiambu residents and is sure of a win during Jubilee nominations and the August 8, polls.

Kabogo believes that he will trance Ferdinand Waititu who is commonly known as Baba Yao. The battle for Jubilee ticket is likely to rekindle the Mwau-Kabogo relationship for the sake of gaining political mileage.

Kabogo said the recent poll proves that he will have a second rein.
