Thirdway Alliance candidate Dr Ekuru Aukot said Tuesday that he is seeking the presidency on his own account and should not be branded a project by forces livid about his political positions.
Speaking to K24 TV on Tuesday,Aukot singled out supporters of the National Super Alliance (Nasa) as the ones behind the 'project' tag and asked them to stop being petty."It is those Nasa supporters who are now branding me a Jubilee project because I said elections should go on as planned. How comes when we filed an appeal challenging the ballot tendering process I was a hero and not a Nasa project? They should stop being petty," he said.
Aukot was roundly castigated on social media by individuals who cast doubt on the sincerity of his quest for State House.
The law scholar will be battling it out with president Uhuru Kenyatta, Nasa's Raila Odinga among other candidates for the presidency come August 8.
