Former Lagdera MP Farah Maalim on Monday dismissed claims that he is a mole out to wreck the National Super Alliance (Nasa) from within,  after he opposed the botched swearing in of Nasa leader Raila Odinga.

Maalim said that his opposition to the move was informed by his conscience and not driven by personal gains he seeks to amass from the government as some have claimed.

"I have never been a mole for anyone as some people claim.I am in Nasa and I'm not seeking any position in government. But the fact of the matter is that there must be some decency in the manner in which we interact on this matter," he said.

The Wiper Party deputy leader added that although as a coalition they had issues with president Uhuru Kenyatta's legitimacy as president there were better ways to challenge such a situation without corotating a parallel president.

"We have issues with the legitimacy of Uhuru Kenyatta but legally I don't think we have room to swear in someone else. We need to deal with this thing in a different way but not swearing at someone else.It is not right," he added.

Odinga was set to be sworn in as president on Tuesday, December 12 but the plan has since fallen apart after the coalition postponed the event to a later date to provide room for more preparations.
