NASA deputy leader Kalonzo Musyoka has reaffirmed his commitment to the National Super Alliance as it pushes for electoral reforms and justice.
Kalonzo says that he will stand with Raila Odinga regardless of the criticism and mockery being thrown at him for missing the former Prime Ministers last week oath as the people's president.
Speaking to journalists at Wiper party offices on Tuesday, Kalonzo said that he is not a ‘watermelon’ as some people are referring to him.
“I want to make it clear that I have no plans of abandoning Raila and I will stand with him in this reforms journey,” he said.
The NASA deputy leader said that their focus is to liberate the country from Jubilee's alleged tyrannic rule.
The former Vice President asked supporters to forget what happened last week on Tuesday and move on together.
The Wiper Party leader said that he is among the few politicians who are loyal to Raila Odinga indicating that abandoning Raila will be the last thing he can ever do.
Kalonzo at the same time blamed the media accusing it of propagating propaganda to weaken the alliance.
He said that some of media reports are tailored towards creating rifts among NASA principals.
In regards to his 2022 bid, Kalonzo said that he will cross the bridge when the time comes. “People should stop asking me about 2022 and give us time to first liberate this country form Jubilee jaws,” he said.
Kalonzo has been under criticism for skipping Raila Odinga’s inauguration as the people’s president last week.Kalonzo, Mudavadi Mudavadi and Moss Wetangula missed the inauguration.
The three have however defended their absence, stating that they are still committed to NASA’s reforms agenda.
There has been pressure from a section of politicians allied to ODM who have been asking Raila to abandon Kalonzo, Mudavadi and Wetangula after they betrayed him.
