Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has dared a section of Members of County Assembly (MCAs) planning to start an impeachment motion against him.
The governor, while speaking to the press at the county headquarters on Saturday, said he is not afraid of being impeached.
Mutua said his county government has done much and that a few individuals are not happy about it.
The county boss added that some few individuals are determined to make sure that he fails on his mandate.
“I will not get worried because of few people who are not happy about what the county is doing,” he said.
Mutua accused some MCAs of working with his critics to derail development of the county.
Mutua said his responsibilities will not be compromised by people who only value their interests.
The governor said he will not waste time listening to critics, adding that he is keen to spearhead development.
Mutua said he will work with leaders who support his government and cautioned Machakos people against listening to his detractors.
