Munyao said he was not afraid of the by-elections and dared Kalonzo and the party leadership to occasion the by-elections saying he is confident of retaining the seat.

“I am ready for the by-election. Let them bring it; I am ready to face the people who will overwhelmingly vote for me back," he was quoted by The Nation.

He accused Kalonzo of primitive politics of party dictatorship and insisted he was sponsored to the National Assembly by the people of Mbooni and not the Wiper party.

“The terms and reference of my job were signed by the electorates of Mbooni and not anybody else,” said Munyao. This comes after Kalonzo Musyoka, the Wiper Party boss and Cord co-principal told legislators who recently defected to Jubilee to brace for by- elections.

He said by-elections must be conducted in all constituencies whose representatives had shifted loyalty to the President Uhuru Kenyatta-led Jubilee Party.
