Majority Leader Aden Duale has insisted he had nothing to do with a recent audio clip that contained inciting remarks and calling for the eviction of the Kamba community from Garissa.
Leaders have been calling for the arrest of the MP and subsequent loss of his seat over the clip, saying it can plunge the country into chaos.
Speaking during the burial of former MP Mark Too, Duale said it was the work of his political enemies, who are planning his downfall.
“I have recorded a statement with CID, the video is fake and the same people who coached witnesses for ICC are the ones doing this,” said Duale.
Cord co-principal Kalonzo Musyko on Sunday threatened to write to the ICC over the matter, if the government would not take action against the Jubilee allied party MP.
Responding to the threats, Duale claimed he is not afraid of the court, further noting that he knows his way around the ICC.
“I want to tell honorable Musyoka that I have been to the ICC 39 times, I know the lawyers, I know the prosecutor, I’m not afraid,” added Duale.
The MP has been under sharp criticism over his alleged remarks, with Kenyans and leaders alike calling for his arrest and prosecution.
