(Photo/Mpasho.co.ke)Former Lagdera MP Farah Maalim has denied media reports that he is against NASA leader Raila Odinga's push for electoral justice, reforms, and end to police impunity.Speaking to journalists in Garissa Town on Tuesday, Maalim said that he is not opposed to Raila's agenda.The former National Assembly Deputy speaker said that he is only opposed to Raila's swearing-in.The Wiper Party deputy leader stated that Raila's push for electoral justice and equality is justifiable."I want to assure NASA supporters that firmly support NASA's push for electoral justice and other issues facing the country," he said.Maalim, who unsuccessfully contested for the Garissa Township seat in the August 8 polls, further clarified that his decision to oppose Raila's swearing-in was on an individual basis and not the position of the Wiper Party.The former lawmaker said that he is committed to NASA agenda and he will play his role when necessary.Maalim has been quoted severally advising Raila against his swearing-in that he says has no legal backing.The former MP says that Raila and NASA can achieve their agenda using other constitutional mechanisms and not through an illegal swearing-in.Raila's called off his much-publicised swearing-in on Sunday to a later date to be announced.NASA says that the postponement of Raila's swearing-in does not mean that they have given up on the fight for reforms.The Sunday postponement of Raila's coronation left supporters disappointed.Raila insists that he does not recognize president Uhuru Kenyatta's government.
