Garissa gubernatorial aspirant Bashir Haji has insisted that he will not drop out of the race to dethrone Governor Nathif Jama, adding that he is not anyone's project.
Addressing the press after holding a meeting with retired military officers from the county, Haji rubbished speculations that he is being used to spoil votes in the governorship, adding that he will give Jama a run for his money when that time comes.
The aspirant also said that he has the desire to change the lives of the residents of this part of the nation if elected the next county boss.
“I started my campaigns in November last year with the clear intention of changing the fortunes of our county for the better if elected. I have a clear manifesto and agenda that will transform our county,” said Haji, as quoted by Citizen.
He further called upon the residents of this area not to back the leaders who are out to showcase they wealthy status.
Haji, who is the younger brother to Senator Yussuf Haji, also said that he is the right aspirant to replace Jama. Haji has joined Ali Korane (Abduwak), who has also declared to send home Jama before midday.
