Nyamira County Health Chief Officer Douglas Bosire has finally spoken out concerning reports doing rounds on social media alleging that he is planning to oust Gesima ward MCA Nyameino Atuti in the 2017 elections.
Speaking to this writer in his office on Wednesday, Bosire dismissed the reports saying his focus is on serving Nyamirans in his capacity as a health practitioner and has no plans of joining politics whatsoever.
"I'm not planning to vie for a political seat moreso that of an MCA. I offer more services and in fact, much more in my capacity as the Chief Officer Health than being an MCA," he said.
Bosire at the same time urged professionals to focus on practicing their careers more instead of engaging in politics which he said end up frustrating many and even making them languish in poverty after losing an election.
"Am shocked how many educated people with careers prefer politics than working in the line of their professions. These are people who frustrate Kenyans when they are elected to political offices," said Bosire.
