[Photo/Plive.co.ke]IEBC commissioner Roselyne Akombe has refuted allegations that she was opting to resign ahead of the October 26 fresh presidential election.Speaking to the Star by phone on Thursday, Akombe said she alongside other commissioners were busy preparing for the upcoming repeat election.“In terms of preparation, we have looked at, we will be able to do all we need to do before that date,” said Akombe.The commissioner termed the reports speaking of her stepping down as mere rumours. "As you can see, I’m at work," said Akombe.The reports had further claimed that the electoral body's chairman Wafula Chebukati was also planning to render his resignation letter following the infighting within IEBC.Akombe and Chebukati were also rumoured of being fed up with the ongoing political impasse that could interfere with the fresh poll.Akombe had earlier been accused of of being a National Super Alliance (Nasa) mole, reports that she denied.
