Cord co-principal and ODM Party Leader Raila Odinga has responded to President Uhuru's remarks on 'kula nyama, meza mate' saying that many Kenyans are salivating with him and would want a piece of the meat that Jubilee is enjoying.
Speaking in Kilgoris on Thursday, Raila responded for the first time to the remarks made by President Uhuru Kenyatta at the funeral of former Minister William Ole Ntimama in Narok a fortnight ago.
“When you see someone enjoying meat, isn’t it natural for you to be mad? That is what we feel and it is not just Raila who is salivating but many other Kenyans,” he said.
In his speech, Kenyatta in a rather comic tone told off opposition leader Raila Odinga over his ambition to unseat him in 2017.
“I would like to tell my friend Raila to keep off my house and focus on his. He should know that right now Jubilee is in power and we are the ones with the meat, so they should continue salivating,” said the President.
Raila told his supporters in the area to rally behind him and vote massively for him in 2017 polls to ensure he captures the presidency.
