COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli has clarified that he will not be seeking any elective position come 2017 General elections even as people anticipate his political stand.
Speaking to journalists in Kakamega ahead of Saturday's grand meeting to unveil the new western region spokesman, Atwoli said he is not interested in politics but he was supporting an initiative to unite the Luhya community by choosing a universal spokesman.
"I'm not a politician but I want to see the dreams of our founding fathers fulfilled. The likes of Masinde Muliro," he said.
The outspoken leader asked western region leaders to come together to witness a new beginning and embrace unity.
He was confident that a right leader will be unveiled on Saturday to steer the western region.
