NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga has reiterated that there is no bad blood between him and the Kikuyu community.
Speaking in Thika town on Thursday, the former Prime Minister accused locals from the community of fear mongering about him in the Mt Kenya region for political mileage.
"When I talk about the price of maize meal, I am addressing food prices which affect all Kenyans including the Kikuyu," he said.
He further took a swipe at the Jubilee administration, accusing President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto of running the country's economy down, leading to the closure of several industries.
"Thika was known as an industrial town but unfortunately the factories that were here collapsed long ago," he said.
"NASA government will ensure that the town regains its lost glory," he added.
Raila was, however, forced to cut short his tour of the region, after rowdy youths stormed his rally chanting pro- Jubilee songs and slogans.
