Opposition leader Raila Odinga has assured his supporters, and Kenyans in general, that he is in good health.

This follows his admission at the Karen Hospital, Tuesday, for food poisoning.

He said he had taken some food, which made his stomach upset, forcing him to seek medication, at the Nairobi-based health facility.

Reports of the food poisoning caused panic among his supporters, as they wondered if he was in good health.

However, the former Prime Minister talked to the press at the Serena Hotel, Thursday, saying he was out of danger, and that Kenyans should not panic.

"As you can see, I'm out of danger. I had taken some food, and I don't know what happened and my stomach got upset. Food poisoning doesn't mean someone poisoned you. There's no need of panicking,'' Raila said.

The ODM party leader is scheduled to fly to South Africa today (Friday), to check on the health of his daughter, Rosemary.

The Kibera parliamentary aspirant was admitted at a hospital in the country, after suffering from brain tumour.
