Former KTN investigative journalist Mohammed Ali (Moha Jicho Pevu) has expressed confidence he will triumph against rich Nyali Constituency parliamentary aspirants during the ODM primaries.Moha said his humble upbringing in Nyali gives him an advantage over his competitors. He said their wealth status will be of no help at the ballot.Moha is expected to battle it out with Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho’s cousin Said Abdallah alias Saedo, during the ODM primaries to elect the candidate who will fly the party’s flag on August 8.“We knew their game plan from day one,” Moha said in reference to a Facebook post where an influential businessman called on Nyali voters to support Mr Abdallah. The message, he claims, was posted on Mombasa Youth Forum- a Facebook page reserved for Mombasa County political discussions.“We are ready. Money is on their side but God is on our side.”He spoke ten days after presenting a written complaint to the ODM Disciplinary Committee at Orange House alleging that Mr Abdallah verbally and physically assaulted him during the party’s rally at Tononoka grounds on March 27.He claimed Abdallah, as he spoke during the event walked towards him and abused him before grabbing the microphone he held.
