Nyamira Senator Kennedy Mong'are Okong'o is upbeat he will win party primaries even as he readies for the 2017 elections.

Speaking Saturday at a Nyamira hotel, Okong'o said he doe's not fear to go through any party nomination because he is sure he will clinch the ticket.

"Am ready for the nominations and whoever comes I will face him mundu khumundu (man-to-man) because I will defeat him or her," said Okong'o.

The Senator also slammed politicians who are championing direct nominations terming them as 'cowards'.
