Muthama was speaking at a prayer rally held for him after the release from the prisons. The rally was held in Mulu Mutisya gardens and was attended by tens of thousands of residents and hundreds of leaders.

Speaking at the event, wiper party leader said they are ready to go to jail with Muthama. He further asked Machakos governor Alfred Mutua why he is threatening Cord with CCTVs and dogs and yet a few metres from the venue of the rally was uncollected garbage.

Kalonzo dared Mutua if he is man enough to resign and seek reelection using the party he advocates for.

Wetangula and Odinga asked the residents not to be tricked by Jubilee using development and the allocations to roads and infrastructure that are nonexistent.

He asked them to register as voters and come out in large numbers come August next year.

The Pangani 3 also had an opportunity to speak and praised Muthama for exemplary leadership even in the cells.

Other leaders called on the people of Machakos to vote Mutua out come next year as he had betrayed the party he was elected with and that he was being used to divide the community.

Muthama has been summoned today by NCIC over hate speech while in Busia.
