Nairobi county senator Mike Sonko has said that he is ready to join Cord if Kalonzo will be named the presidential candidate on Cord's ticket in 2017.
Speaking in Athi River during the burial of Wavinya Ndeti's husband on Friday 14th October, Sonko urged Cord co-principals Raila and Wetangula to endorse Kalonzo to carry Cord's flag in 2017 polls.
Sonko who read president Uhuru's speech at the burial noted that Kalonzo should be given the chance to vie for the top seat in 2017 on a Cord ticket citing that he is the best suited.
"I am ready to join Cord of Kalonzo will be named Cord's presidential candidate in 2017," reaffirmed Sonko.
In attendance were Cord co-principals Kalonzo Musyoka and Raila Odinga who left before Sonko read the president's speech.
