Speaking on Sunday on Citizen TV live, Wabukala maintained that the war against corruption can be won, if only everyone came on board to help with the battle.

“It is interesting because when many people did not apply, something just told me, maybe God is saying I should try this one. We want to leave a generation a future for our children that is good, and so I felt that this is the job that God wants me to do,” he said.

“That’s why I drafted my application, I felt that if I don’t apply, and nobody does it, I will not lie with peace,” he added.

He further said he is ready to put his life on the line just to have the work done, adding that the task in front of him is huge but he will win it.

He insisted on building on good ethics which will lead to good morals and a changed way of thinking for many Kenyans, which in the long run will reduce corruption cases.

“Looking at my work, I noticed that almost three quarters of the assignment is to create a strong ethical ground for Kenya. And those who fall by the wayside on this, then they meet the law,” he added.

He becomes the sixth person to head the anti-corruption body, which has proved to be the most intimidating job in the country.
