KICC chairperson and former ODM national Treasurer Omingo Magara has insisted on his readiness to re-unite with his former boss Raila Odinga saying he made the Orange party to grow and expand.
Magara fell out with Raila towards the 2017 polls and subsequently joined PDP party in which he unsuccessfully contested for the Kisii Country senatorial seat.
Speaking in Nyamira town on Sunday, Omingo said he had no ‘problem’ working with someone who ‘shaped’ his political career.
“I was a nobody just before my brother (Enock Magara) died but Raila stood with my family and even campaigned for me to clinch the seat in a by-election back then,” he said.
“I was among the pioneers of ODM and I have no problem at all to work with the party because Raila shaped my political career. He is a man of history whom I respect so much,” added Magarawhile condemning a group of politicians led by Senator Chris Obure who have been campaigning for Jubilee in the region.
Magara, however, challenged the ODM party to strengthen its internal democracy by allowing dissent opinions from other members.
“The major challenge we have been facing for long is authoritativeness in the party. Time has come for dissent opinions to be accommodated and all will be fine,” he said.
He spoke on Sunday during a funds drive at Maranatha Faith in Nyamira County.
