National Super Alliance (NASA) begun its rallies at Jacaranda grounds in Donholm, Nairobi, before the official campaign launch in Kakamega.
Speaking during this rally, Raila Odinga’s running mate Kalonzo Musyoka emphasized that he is ready to sacrifice everything he has to see Jubilee out of office. He also insisted that the opposition alliance has over 10 million votes something that he warned that no one should dispute.“When we say 10M strong, Jacaranda has proved it. I thank Raila because he now has an official mandated to represent NASA. I'm ready to sacrifice until Jubilee goes home,” Musyoka said.The opposition chiefs attracted a mammoth crowd after NASA flag bearer Raila Odinga presented his papers to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC). The city was painted orange as opposition supporters especially ODM diehards flooded the streets. As Musyoka spoke, the crowd chanted anti-Jubilee slogans. Some insisted that President Uhuru Kenyatta must go.Others who graced the occasion were Raila Odinga, Musalia Mudavadi, Moses Wetang’ula and Isaac Rutto. Governor Hassan Joho, Evans Kidero, Senator James Orengo and Johson Muthama are other leaders who lashed at the reigning Jubilee government.
