Former Lands Minister Charity Kaluki Ngilu has said that she is the right candidate to unseat incumbent Dr Julius Malombe in the forthcoming general election.

The legislator said that she has been tested and proven to be a performer for the short period she worked in the government, adding that she will not disappoint her people if given the chance to become the next governor when that time comes.

“My development track record in my short stint in government is a proven indicator that I can deliver services to the county electorate once given a chance,” she said;

The lawmaker also said that Musila is a strong candidate but she will beat him hands down. She went on to urge Musila wait for Cord leader Raila Amolo Odinga and his Deputy Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka to appoint her in the National Super Alliance (NASA) government once they unseat President Uhuru Kenyatta.

“I want to urge Musila to leave this seat for me. I know his strengths but I can say for sure I will defeat him at the ballot. To avoid humiliation, I ask him to shelve his ambitions and wait for another appointment when NASA forms the government,” Ngilu said.
