The former Director of Public Prosecutions pledged to initiate change in Kenya, since his party was not in any political coalition.

Murgor said Kenyans needed a committed leader to lead the Country, by fighting corruption, ethnicity and other form of impunity.

Citing frequent corruption cases, labour disputes, industrial action, drought and political in-fight, the first time presidential hopeful said the current administration had failed to save Kenyans.

"UDM is the party that is going to liberate Kenya. It does not mean you have to be in Cord, Jubilee, or any other political coalition to win elections. I am the person Kenyans need,'' he said while addressing the press, in Nairobi.

Murgor will battle it out with various other aspirants, including incumbent president Uhuru Kenyatta.
