While highlighting her various remarkable achievements as the Chairperson of Public Service Commission (PSC), the nominee exuded confidence that she will deliver in the new docket if given a chance.

Kobia was appointed to the PSC in December 2012, becoming the first woman to head the powerful commission.

“I think it must be remembered that I helped this country deliver a Chief Justice, Deputy Chief Justice and a judge of the Supreme Court,” she said in reference to the appointment of CJ David Maraga, DCJ Philomena Mwilu and Justice Isaac Lenaola.

Kobia, who is a former head of Kenya School of Government, pledged to bring honesty and integrity in the ministry in order to restore investors' confidence in the country.

"We highlight corruption so much and even forget the good things happening, this can scare away investors," she noted and promised to address the two-thirds gender rule in the government.

Kobia spoke during her vetting by National Assembly Committee on Appointments at Parliament Buildings.
