The famous Council of Elders Njuri Ncheke has blessed renown lawyer Kitobu Imanyara at his Mariene home and advised him to ditch Raila’s ODM for Mutua’s Maendeleo Chap Chap.
Imanyara is seeking to recapture his former Central Imenti parliamentary seat. Gitobu said he had hang boots but elders begged him to change his mind and finish the development projects he started.
"I had retired from politics but I was called by the elders and residents who told me [matters were not being handled well]....the development projects I started stalled. They asked me to make a comeback," Imanyara said.
According to the Star, the former legislature and senatorial aspirant has opted for Chap Chap where peace prevails. His sentiments are directed at NASA Coalition and Jubilee party that are full of nomination wrangles and some lack a clear structure in picking a flag bearer.
"In the 2013 poll, I vied for senator on an ODM ticket but this time round the elders have told me to vie under Maendeleo Chap Chap. Its leaders have shown good leadership by campaigning peacefully and its structures are good, unlike other coalitions which are filled with fracas and abuses,” added Imanyara as quoted by the Star.
