Ichung'wa has said that the ruling party top echleon, President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto, are working on cordial relations in fulfilling the Jubilee agenda.

"The President and his deputy are reading from the same script. They are focused on what needs to be done," Ichung'wa told the Saturday Standard.

"They have both said their focus is on creating jobs, and reviving the economy," he added.

There have been reports that Uhuru's remarks that he was aware of some leaders within Jubilee who were hellbent in undermining his unity deal with Raila were directed to Ruto, claims Ichung'wa rubbished.

"I know there are many who were not pleased with what we did, we know.  We're hearing noise from here and there, both from my side and his (Raila's) side...that is the truth, because they (those opposed to the handshake thrive in commotion," Uhuru was quoted in the media as saying.
