Should the impeachment of the Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua go through, then it should be like a negligible bruise to be healed simply by the pass of time.

In other words, Mutua's political career cannot and should not be shaken or rifted in any manner.

The Maendeleo Chap Chap party leader is merely forty-eight years old. Actually, he is forty-seven years and some months old.

By serving as a governor in the first place, Mutua has made himself famous, built his name and a bridge to the future politics.

Impeached or not, Mutua will remain to be the Machakos county's first governor under the 2010's new Constitution.

His impeachment will, therefore, be a small pothole that will hook him out of politics for a very short period of time.

Probably, he will be vying for a seat in the 2022 general elections; the query as per now is which seat? The presidency or the gubernatorial? Or, can he really lose to Wiper party's Wavinya Ndeti?

Having is own party is the biggest advantage Mutua has, he is sure no one within his party is competing with him and most importantly, he can vie for any seat with his registered party's ticket.

And by the way, there is 2027, 2032, 2037 ... thus, Alfred Mutua's presidential ambitions should not be zeroed by a mere challenge.

Anyway, politics 'ni kujipanga my friend.'
