The precious win lifted Bandari to third on 18 points, same as Leopards, but the Coastarians have a superior goal-difference. 

Elsewhere, the going got even tougher for Tusker FC, who lost 3-0 to Zoo Kericho, who are on a three-match unbeaten run. 

Their loss saw them drop further on the log, and is currently 15th on the log with 10 points. 

In other results, Sofapaka FC had to settle for a 1-1 draw against Chemelil Sugar.Mathare United, who had a splendid start to the league suffered a damaging loss to Wazito FC, going down 1-0 in an unexpected loss. 

Gor Mahia continued with their impressive start to the season, putting five past Thika United in Sunday’s afternoon kick-off at the Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos. 

The win saw Gor perch themselves at the top of the standings and remains on course to retain their title, and is on an impressive five-game winning streak.

Gor have 25 points from nine matches, with second-placed Mathare United on 23 points after 12 matches.
