Telkom Kenya continued their dominance in the local scene’s hockey, after securing their 20th league title on Sunday.
The team won their Sunday match again on Sunday, crushing Multi Media University 6-0 at the City Stadium.
They have further shown their strength by going the whole season unbeaten,
Jacqueline Mwangi stole the show once again, netting four times to lead the scores chart with 24 goals, with Audrey Omaido scoring one to hit the 21 goal mark.
According to Coach Jos Openda, they girls have been excellent, but they will need to tidy up their work and improve in some areas.
“One thing that is clear is our scoring and assists. There is still on some hitches in the midfield that we will need to work on,” he said when he spoke to the media.
The team won the league with two matches to spare, but their lead is unassailable, having a 14-point gap between them and second-placed Strathmore University.
The team has been well oiled in all departments, with their defense one of the best having conceded only three goals.
They have won all their 18 matches and scored an impressive 109 goals.
The team will be hoping to replicate the same form in Accra, Ghana, when they will be defending their African title.
The coach has promised that they are going for the top title.
