A section of Residents from Gesima ward Kitutu Masaba constituency have challenged the county government of Nyamira under health department to improve health standards of Gesima health center.
According to the residents, who spoke to this writer on Tuesday ,they accused the area Member of Parliament Timothy Bosire for sidelining the projects which were initiated by former MP in the health centers.
Led by Samuel Osoro, they said they understand that the health services are devolved functions to the county level, but to them nothing has been done by the county government together with the area MCA and MP .
“There are many projects which were initiated by former Member of parliament Walter Nyambati, for instance the construction of a mortuary and other facilities, but unfortunately the projects got stuck since we had county government, we want to know what went wrong,” said Osoro.
In addition, he said that during Walter Nyambati's time the then government promised to help the health centers with machines but since then nobody has followed them.
Grace Mokaya, another resident said that her concern is to the county government, which needs to make sure that the health centers are up to standard but unfortunately it has not done so .
“We would like to urged our area MCA and area MP to help us so that this health centers looks more better not only building but even the services which will be deliver to us ”said Grace
