Tea farmers in Nakuru County have been urged to take advantage of agricultural subsidies to boost production and quality of their products on international market.

Speaking in Nakuru town on Monday, an official from the Central Rift Farmers Association Romano Kotut also advised farmers to improve the quality of their product if they want good returns.

"Do not just think of producing more, think of producing quality,” said Kotut.

He added, “Good quality products will always attract clients’ hence good returns. Youu can only think of good money if you have worked on your quality."

Kotut further urged members of various cooperative societies (Sacco's) to desist from leadership wrangles.

He said Saccos had contributed to education and economy growth among other areas.

During the meeting, Moses Chemoi a farmer in Nakuru urged his fellow farmers to seek advice from extension officers before doing anything in their farm to avoid loss and low quality products.
