Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has called on dairy farmers to improve their farming systems to help improve quantity and quality, which will in turn increase profits.
Speaking at DCS office on Tuesday during a dairy farmers’ seminar that had invited a great multitude of farmers, Kuria assured residents his full support in building a milk manufacturing industry in the area, claiming that it is the only way to maximize farmers’ profit.
Corporative high ranked officials urged milk farmers to invest in their bank, assuring them of better products.
“Farmers, there is no way you can see the value of your profits if you do not invest, I urge you to invest with us and experience the great products we have in store for you like cheap loans and better interests for your money,” said James Gichiru, a coordinator.
“Embrace the modern methods of keeping your livestock like applying better nutrients, using milking machines and allow cleanliness to prevail in your milking,” said Grace Macharia, a livestock specialist.
The event was attended by area MCAS, chiefs, corporative bank managers, civil servants and many farmers, who were given enough know how to improve livestock keeping in the area.
