The speaker of the national assembly Justin Muturi has rubbished allegations that he favours the administrating coalition during the parliamentary sittings.
However, while speaking Kangaroo Secondary Embu where he was accompanied by leader of majority in the senate Kindiki Kithure, the speaker said that whenever he is out of parliament, he is a supporter of the Jubilee coalition since it is the block that brought him to power.
Kindiki Kithure supported him saying that he has done a great job so far, and that he qualifies for a second term as a speaker.
This comes only a short time after the speaker lifted Ugunja Member of Parliament ban after the law maker alongside other leaders affiliated to the CORD coalition delayed the president's speech in the parliament on the 31st of March this year.
On the March 24, 2015, he was in hot soup after Kibwezi West Member of Parliament Patrick Mweu moved a censure motion against him accusing him of failling to protect the integrity and dignity of the house by using discourteous language against members.
On Febrary 11, 2015 the speaker said; ''I will not listen to anyone..this is not a marketplace,who is this member with a bald head?''
Deputy Speaker Loice Laboso and Kuresoi MP Moses Cheboi presided over the debate.
However the speaker came out of the situation alive and resumed his responsibilities
