Youth in Kangundo Sub-County have been advised to incorporate modern technological advancements in their businesses in order to improve their operations.
Speaking in her office on Wednesday, Kangundo Sub-County youth officer Winnie Katelo said that innovations in technology have improved operations for small local businesses in other parts of the country.
She urged self employed youths to follow suit and employ the technological innovations in running their businesses.
"As a young business owner, it is important to understand and incorporate advanced technology in your business, as it will help increase efficiency and expansion in the business operations,” said Katelo.
Katelo noted that mobile phones have become necessities for small business owners.
She said that since the devices have access to emails, text messages and social networking, they connect business owners with their customers.
The youth officer added that technology has freed small businesses from the restrictions of printing posters when it comes to reaching new customers or passing information to existing customers.
Katelo advised self employed youth to research on which type of technology is suitable for their businesses, as it will enable them to become organised and efficient.
