[Photo| Courtesy]Increased cases of suicide in Homa Bay county are now raising eyebrows.According to County Police Commander Marius Tum, various police stations receive various cases of suicides weekly, a matter that is now alarming.“We are worried about loss of lives through increased number of suicide incidences in the county,” he said, adding that they are investigating two incidents where two different men hanged themselves following domestic brawl with their wives this Christmas.The first incident involved a 44-year-old Bonaventure Osiga from East Kochia Location in Rangwe Sub-County. He hanged himself inside his house after Christmas celebrations after his wife took away their children and left her.A middle-aged man Vincent Ochieng, hanged himself in Nyandiwa Trading Centre, Suba South in the second incident, over suspicion that his wife had cheated on him.“I have left the world for you to enjoy life. However, you should remember that I am your husband and the father of your children,” a suicide note that he left, read as seen by Daily Nation.
