A section of independent candidates from South Nyanza have attacked nominated MP Oburu Odinga over remarks he made alleging they are being funded by Jubilee.

Led by Migori gubernatorial hopeful Ochillo Ayako, the aspirants dismissed Odinga’s claims and asked him to stop engaging in cheap political publicity.

Ayako asked Oburu and other political leaders calling for six-piece voting to engage in agenda based-based politics instead of than belittling independent candidates

“Independent candidates already have a place in the Kenyan politics and they cannot be wished away based on cheap propaganda,” Ayako said.

“Politicians and political parties should compete on agenda,” he added.

Homa Bay governor aspirant Oyugi Magwanga claimed unpopular candidates were hiding behind the six-piece-suit yet they had no development agenda to tell the electorates.

“Some candidates rooting for six-piece have no agenda and have embarked on mudslinging,” said Magwanga.
